A Sweet Sixteen of Service

At J.C. Hart, community is at the heart of everything we do. This year, as part of our Sweet 16 partnership with United Way of Central Indiana, we invited our Residents to join us in supporting one of United Way’s accredited agencies—Meals on Wheels.

Throughout the month, our Residents generously purchased items from the Meals on Wheels Amazon Wish List. These donated items were used to create emergency meal kits for clients who may face unexpected situations where regular meal delivery isn’t possible. These kits ensure Meals on Wheels clients still have access to shelf-stable, easy-to-prepare food during weather emergencies, service interruptions, or personal crises.

Thanks to the kindness of our Residents and the hard work of our team, 23 J.C. Hart Associates used their Volunteer PTO to pack 400 emergency meal kits—each one filled with care, stability, and support for a neighbor in need.

This project reflects the spirit of our long-standing partnership with United Way. For 16 years, J.C. Hart has proudly supported their mission to strengthen families and build stronger communities. Partnering together to support Meals on Wheels is just one of the many ways we bring that mission to life.

A Thanksgiving Reflection

As we gather around our tables this Thanksgiving, we’re reminded how meaningful it is to support and care for our neighbors. The generosity of our Residents and Associates has made a real difference for neighbors who depend on Meals on Wheels—especially during the colder months when an unexpected emergency can make access to food even more difficult.

This Thanksgiving, we’re especially thankful for this community—one that shows up, cares deeply, and works together to create something meaningful.
